Weather
The driest months in Rwanda are between July and September and from December to January. The rains tend to fall between April and May and then again from October to November. However, trekking for gorillas involves entering the rainforests so you need to be prepared to get wet and muddy most of the year.

Rwanda's capital city of Kigali is spread out over a number of hills in the centre of the country. Although it has been through a turbulent past with the genocide in 1994 it has been transformed into a beautiful and interesting capital city. The streets are bustling with life and is and amazingly clean compared to other capital cities on the African continent.
Visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial is a must for all visitors to Rwanda which was fully opened in April 2004. Situated in Gisozi it has become the burial site of over 250,000 people of the one million plus people that were killed in the three months of genocide. It serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives and also as an educational centre for it never to happen again. Other attractions which should not be missed are the markets where you will be able to find local handicrafts.
Abercrombie & Kent's Kigali city tours are the perfect way to explore this interesting capital city.

Guest Testimonial
Quite simply excellent. If I could say one thing it is that Egypt is the place to go right now, as there were virtually no tourists at some of the sights and that,I should think, is quite rare!![]()
