Galle
Best time to be there
During our winter months, when the humidity is lower and the temperature more comfortable for sightseeing and exploration. However, the monsoon season of May to September should not be discounted for travel as the whole of Sri Lanka is bursting into lush greenery due to the rainfall showing you a side of this island not everyone sees.

The capital of Sri Lanka's southern province and former European administrative centre, Galle is a city with a colourful history. Its Dutch atmosphere is very much alive and its most popular attraction is the magnificent Dutch fort, branded a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The beautiful beach of Unawatuna is just 6km south east of the city centre.
The southern coastal belt is the most popular among tourists and comes to life mainly from October through April when the monsoon moves northeast.

A&K Myanmar Relief Fund
AKP's global reach and on-the-ground presence proved to be priceless assets when, in May 2008, Cyclone Nargis devastated Myanmar's Irrawaddy Delta. Our office and teams in Myanmar quickly gathered and delivered essential supplies to affected villages, raising more than $540,000 in contributions for emergency aid. The A&K Myanmar Relief Fund provides support for orphanages and other ongoing needs resulting from the tremendous devastation of Cyclone Nargis.
