The South Luangwa National Park is arguably Africa's finest game park. It is one of Africa's last un-spoilt places with wide open spaces, a diversity of habitats, a high density of game and a wide variety of wildlife, some of which is rarely seen in other parts of Africa. Leopard, lion, elephant and large packs of the endangered Wild Dog are often seen in the park. For the bird lovers there are over 400 species of birds and one can easily see over 100 species over a three day period.

The park is intercepted by the mighty Luangwa River which is the lifeblood of this park. The river is crowded with hippos and crocodiles and has many tributaries which course their way through the park.

The South Luangwa Valley is the birthplace of the walking safari which is the best way to explore this magnificent park. Our experts will help you build your perfect Luangwa walking safari holiday. For those who are not up for the thrill of walking close to the game, day and night drives are also on offer.
