About Jetwing Yala
Splayed out behind the sand dunes near the entrance of Yala National Park, Jetwing Yala is a stylish outpost. Designed to seamlessly blend in with the coastal wilderness, rooms open up to dramatic dune views with the breeze streaming in and buckets of natural light. You may not notice Sri Lanka’s largest solar park subtly hidden from view. The hotel conserves every last drop of water used.
Rise at the crack of dawn for game drives in the Yala National Park. Search for wild elephant, sloth bear and perhaps the elusive leopard for which the reserve is famed.
Return to the 75-metre pool or unwind in the spa. Those still feeling energetic can run down the long stretch of sand or work out in the glass-walled gym.
Come the evening, you can’t beat sundowners by the beach bar. Then dine on Sri Lankan curries under the stars on the large wooden deck. Fine dining can be found at Thambapanni serving Asian clay pot dishes. Feeling romantic? The staff can organise dinner for two atop a sand dune.
