San Jose - Tortuguero
See nature in its most raw and beautiful state with a trip to secluded Tortuguero. Only accessible by boat or plane, Tortuguero means the place of the turtles. Green Sea, Leatherback and Hawksbill turtles come here to nest and breed, and you’ll be lucky enough observe this amazing spectacle. There’s wildlife in abundance at Tortuguero: traverse its shady freshwater creeks and lagoons on the hunt for more.
Tortuguero - Arenal
It’s time to board a boat headed for Guapiles, from where you'll be driven to Arenal. On the way, stop off for a private visit to Frog's Heaven, a tropical garden home to over 20 species of exotic amphibians. In the evening you’ll check into the bubbling environs of Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.
Arenal
You’ll see panoramic views of the rainforest on an impressive Sky Walk. Stroll along a series of suspension bridges among the treetops experiencing the sights and sounds of the jungle canopy. In the afternoon, shake the jungle from your hair, pull on your hiking boots and embark on a gentle 2.5 hour hike along the base of the Arenal Volcano.

Adrenaline hunters will love today’s half-day rafting lesson in the white waters gushing past the foot of Arenal Volcano. It’s an equally enchanting experience for wildlife lovers too: monkey, sloth and birds such as osprey, oropendola and toucan can be spotted as you drift through the dense forests lining the volcano. Arenal - Monteverde
Monteverde is the holy grail for eco tourists. This misty reserve nestles between two of the world's most important cloud forests. The blanket of clouds provides a steady supply of moisture that creates verdant foliage, abundant flora and a perfect home for wildlife. You’ll start with a sailing trip across Lake Arenal as butterflies gracefully emerge from the surrounding forest. An afternoon's hike will bring you into the heart of nature at its succulent best.
Monteverde
Steady rainfall, rich volcanic soil and moderate temperatures have long made Costa Rica fertile land for the sugar cane and coffee bean industries. Tamarindo - San Jose
