UK - Cape Town

You’ll fly overnight from the UK to Cape Town. The small time difference means there will be no jet lag preventing you from exploring classic South Africa as soon as you arrive.

Cape Town

Cape Town’s stunning location between the mountains and the deep blue sea is matched only by its cosmopolitan joys. The culture and cuisine offer a unique taste of the Mother City’s delights. You’ll be based in the Cape Grace on the chic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront - you’re right in the heart of the action so get out there and explore.

Cape Town

With two days of exploration you’ll find there are still endless pleasures on offer in Cape Town. Take a half-day private tour of Cape Town city to get your bearings. Sail to the former prison of Robben Island, once the unwilling home of Nelson Mandela and now a fascinating museum. Hike on the shrub-flanked Table Mountain, or ride a cable car to the top for unsurpassed views. Don’t miss the adorable waddling penguins of Boulders Beach and be sure to visit the dramatic Cape of Good Hope.

Cape Town – Franschhoek

Today your hire car will be delivered to your hotel. Take to the road – you’re off to explore the Winelands.

Today your private guide will meet you for your full day tour in the Winelands. The Cape Winelands comprise of the world-famous wine regions of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Your guide will discuss your wine preference with you and match your preferences to the perfect wine estate. The wineries have breath-taking vine-laden landscape backdrops. Many of them are historical farms with beautiful Cape Dutch manors houses, gardens, hotels and fine-dining restaurants.

Franschhoek - Hermanus

The Garden Route provides one of the world's most beautiful coastal drives. Hop in a car and enjoy the ever-changing scenery all the way to Hermanus, the whale watching capital of the world. Here you’ll stay at the Marine Hotel on Walker Bay and in season (June to November) you can sight whales directly from your window.

Stroll the spectacular cliff path that, though beautiful is also one of the planet’s most renowned whale-watching spots: many mothers swim with their calves incredibly close to the shore. We recommend taking a dip at one of the town's beautiful beaches, or following a mountain trail to explore South Africa’s classic flora and fauna.

Hermanus - Plettenberg

Departing Hermanus, the Garden Route veers inland as you traverse mighty mountains and endless forests. At Plettenberg Bay, your hideaway will be a Relais & Chateaux hotel that teeters on a rocky headland overlooking distant peaks and miles of golden sand. Watch the sun sinking into the ocean as you kick back with a cocktail at the Sand Bar.

Plettenberg offers endless opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding. You can also spot dolphin on a cruise of the waters in a private boat. Explore forest trails by mountain-bike, or hit the waves on a surfboard: whatever you do you can treat yourself at The Plettenberg's lavish spa after a day in the sun, before sampling a tipple from its award-winning wine cellar.

Plettenberg - Sabi Sands

An early start today as you fly from George via Johannesburg to the Sabi Sands. Located in one of the finest wilderness areas in southern Kruger, Londolozi Founders Camp will be your home for the next three nights.

Sabi Sands
