Sample traditional Jewish cuisine and gain an insight into modern Israeli life with an intimate visit to a Jewish family home.
Charismatic Tova will captivate you with her real-life stories about the huge role that Jewish family heritage has in the framework of the Israeli state. Her home is located in the picturesque town of Zichron Ya’akov (meaning ‘Jacob’s Memorial’) on the southern slopes of Mount Carmel, with breath-taking views over the Mediterranean Sea.
Founded in 1881 by Jewish pioneers from Romania, ‘Zichron’ was one of the first modern settlements in Israel. A few years later, it was developed by Baron Edmond James de Rothschild, who allotted housing plots for settlement farmers and established the region’s first winery since the ban of alcohol over 1000 years ago.
During this authentic experience, you will be welcomed into Tova’s home and have the chance to chat over dinner about life today in modern Israel.
