About Colca Lodge Spa & Hot Springs
Tucked away in the world’s second deepest canyon, Colca Lodge is the perfect base to pursue the condor, one of the wonders of the natural world. It is a twenty-minute or so drive to the Cruz del Condor where you can usually spot them soaring in the thermals.
Forty-five casitas built as traditional adobe-style lodges, speckle the manicured grounds. All face the picturesque Colca River enjoying either terraces or balconies.
Around the valley, explore the hundreds of pre-Incan terraces built on the slopes and visit an alpaca farm where you can get close to alpacas of every shade. For those in need of a hot-stone massage, the spa makes the most of the views with huge glass windows looking out to bucolic scenery.
Aside from location, the main draw is the four stone thermal baths, fed by volcanic hot springs. Request a barbecue lunch in the adjacent bar. You can sip on cocktails without budging from the hot bubbling water. You can also enjoy traditional dining in the hotel’s restaurant.
