About Katy

Writing has always been a passion of mine and something I managed to weave into my London career in PR after graduating in French from Bristol. The call of the west never left me alone and I moved to Cheltenham a few years ago. Being able to combine my writing with a topic I’m interested in (writing about technology didn’t inspire me quite as much as travel) and a team who feel the same way is really important to me. A&K believes in both a family approach at work and in the holidays it curates – to me, that feels like a home from home.

What's your favourite destination?

Portugal – I’ve spent family holidays here since I was seven. I can’t imagine my summer without a trip there

Which destination is top of your bucket list, and why?

Puglia – everything I hear about it makes me think I’d love it

How many languages do you speak?

Two – although one is more rusty than I’d like to admit!

Which five items do you always pack when travelling?

Charger, adapters, suncream, books and snacks

What's your top travel tip?

Pack light – although it’s not a tip I’m very good at heeding!
