About Camp Okavango
Camp Okavango offers a unique African safari experience. Surrounded by water, the traditional 4x4 safari vehicle is replaced with motor boats and mokoros (dug-out canoes), allowing guests to see the local wildlife from a completely different perspective. The main lodge features a cocktail bar, sitting area and wildlife library. The comfortable dining room leads out to a spacious outdoor patio — a perfect place for evenings around the campfire.
Guests here stay in wonderfully appointed safari tents raised on teak platforms. En-suite facilities ensure that each stay is a comfortable one, and private viewing decks offer stunning views over the Okavango Delta. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better spot for a relaxed breakfast or post-safari sundowner.
You’ll be able to explore the vast Okavango Delta by mokoro or motor boat (water activities are dependent on seasonal water levels). Or follow an expert guide to track larger game species on nature walks across the surrounding islands.
