Meet the head mechanic and take a tour of the vintage car workshop, where there will be the chance for you to see 20 classic cars. Keep your eyes peeled for the grey Ford Model T – first released to the world in 1908 – which Robert Redford famously drove in the 1985 Oscar-winning film, Out of Africa.
To learn more about the real-life story behind the movie, you will visit the Karen Blixen Museum, housed in the farmhouse at the foot of the Ngong Hills where author Karen Blixen lived from 1914-1931.
You’ll then be able to climb inside one of the classic cars for a sightseeing journey around Nairobi. Enjoy a 20-minute drive through the city, imagining how life might have felt for Karen Blixen and Denys Finch Hatton in the early 20th Century.
