Enjoy a traditional dhow boat tour in Quirimbas as the sun sets over Mozambique’s coral islands

Consisting of more than fifty coral islands, the Quirimbas Archipelago in northern Mozambique has recently been granted protection status. Now part of Quirimbas National Park, your Quirimbas tour will show you all the best parts of this 7,500km2 conservation area.

Accessible by air from Mozambique's capital Maputo, the Quirimbas Archipelago contains some of Africa's richest coral reefs. Largely undeveloped, this provides a unique habitat for an abundant array of marine life. The islands offer a snorkelling and scuba-diving paradise.

If you’d prefer to tour the Quirimbas Archipelago on the water, we highly recommend a traditional Mozambican dhow boat cruise. On a night tour between November and April, you may even get to see the miraculous hatching of a turtle breaking free from its shell and making for the ocean tides.
