About Lion Sands River Lodge
Stay in the comfort of family-owned Lion Sands River Lodge, within South Africa's iconic Kruger National Park, and enjoy exclusive access to the wildlife-rich Lion Sands Private Game Reserve.
Relish the shade of ancient mahogany trees, dating back 800 years, when you relax after your safari in one of the 18 thatched villas which are raised on wooden walkways. Each room features an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a wooden deck overlooking the river for you to watch the amazing birdlife.
The lodge, which is the only one on the perennial Sabie River, offers signature Riverbed Dinners which is an experience not to be missed along with a night sleeping under the stars in their romantic treehouses.
You can also cool off in the swimming pool before enjoying a treatment in the spa. Other facilities include; a sitting room decorated with traditional African artefacts, restaurant, bar, gym, secluded bird hide and private hammocks.
Start each morning by catching the first rays of the sun as it rises over the bushveld and head off for a morning game drive. During your stay you will also get the chance to meet their full-time ecologist who oversees preserving the land for future generations.
