Enjoy a birds-eye view over the spectacular Serengeti National Park, with the thrill of a hot-air balloon ride. As the sun rises over the savannah, you’ll gently float above the plains home to elephant and ancient baobab trees known as “giants of the African Wilderness”.
You’ll be driven from your lodge at dawn to meet the pilot. Watch the colourful balloon inflate, ready for launch. After a safety briefing and demonstration of boarding and landing you’ll be ready for take-off. Listen as the roar of the torch takes you high into the sky and see the breath-taking sight of the game below during the one-hour flight. You’ll glide over grazing herds of giraffe or buffalo. Keep an eye out for prides of lion and enjoy that rare treat of seeing as far as the eye can see.
Every balloon ride is unique and your experience will depend on the direction of the wind. On landing, share stories over a glass of champagne and hot, cooked breakfast on the banks of the Serengeti River or plains depending on where you land. Your pilot will present you with a certificate as a memoir of your high-flying adventure. A game drive en route to your lodge will bring this special morning to a close.
