View the Great Migration

Witness one of the world’s natural wonders, the Great Migration in Africa. Allow our experienced guides to find the best viewing location for you to watch this incredible sight during your exclusive A&K safari to watch the Great Migration in Tanzania. Stand back in awe as the migration of one-and-a-half million wildebeest, 200,000 Burchell’s zebra and trailing Thomson’s gazelle make a 1,900 -kilometre odyssey as they chase the rains. Each year the serengeti lion and giraffe are joined by these grazing animals who are in a race for life.

During your safari you’ll enjoy the luxury of our specially-adapted four-wheel-drive vehicle which come complete with a pop-up roof and cool box for drinks. A&K’s knowledgeable driver guide will take you away from the crowds to ensure you have the best viewpoint of the Great Migration. 

A picnic lunch will be served before you set off for the afternoon drive. Your guide will give you the opportunity to see the big game and is happy to answer all your questions about the wildlife along with flora and fauna.

Additional notes about the tour

You will travel in a six-seater Landcruiser to witness the Great Migration in Tanzania. Due to the national park rules the vehicles are closed and all have a pop up roof. Every vehicle has wildlife and birding guide books and a set of binoculars.
