About Fundu Lagoon

Only accessible by boat and set on a beautiful palm-fringed beach, Fundu Lagoon lets nature do the talking. Wooden walkways and sandy paths lead to 18 thatched tented rooms, all large and discreetly private with fantastic ocean views. The suites and superior bungalows each have a private plunge pool for the ultimate relaxation. Fundu offers true escapism based on complete comfort and high levels of service, including an open-sided restaurant presenting outstanding international cuisine which benefits from a daily fisherman's catch and tropical fruits, which add an exotic twist to familiar international dishes. Private dining excursions such as picnics can be arranged, with your own personal chef and waiter attending to your every need at a candle-lit table under the stars, whether on the beach or your own private terrace. For a more social experience the resort offers a weekly beach barbecue, and on Sunday nights the jetty transforms into a restaurant for a feast of Swahili food and music.

The calming spa is located just a few steps from the softly curving infinity pool, embracing the ancient healing philosophies of African and Asian culture. Treatments such as massage use Fundu's own blended infusions, including healing essential oils.

Its setting in the Indian Ocean allows for some of the best snorkeling and driving in the world, where shallow coral lagoons drop off into spectacular depths supporting a vast array of marine life. Explorations by canoe and sunset cruises on a traditional dhow are just some of the sailing opportunities on offer.
