Highlights

Indonesia with Aman Resorts

For those who like to travel in style this is Bali with bliss and Indonesia with indolence. Leisurely, opulent and packed with unforgettable highlights your Indonesian tour will draw together many of the country’s natural, historical and cultural wonders. This inspirational Indonesian itinerary is based on our selection of the finest hotels and the finest experiences. You’ll witness the sunrise at Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist sanctuary, and explore the scenic rice terraces that surround Ubud. You’ll relax at the hillside retreat of Amankila, enjoy the unspoiled scenery of the Balinese east coast and sample one of Indonesia's finest spa treatments.

UK – Yogyakarta

It’s a great idea to allow yourself as much time as possible to relax and be pampered by taking an overnight flight to the artistic soul of Java that lies in Yogyakarta.

Yogyakarta

You’ve arrived: and it’s time to relax in the opulent surrounds of the Amanjiwo resort. Located in rural central Java, Amanjiwo is surrounded by lush forests, volcanoes, rice paddies, lakes and temples. From your idyllic retreat, you’ll be able to look down on the inspirational sight of Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist monument which dates back to the 8th-century.

Yogyakarta

During your stay at Amanjiwo, you should push yourself to make one early start to witness the stunning sight of sunrise at Borobudur. The atmosphere is unbelievably tranquil, and as the sun emerges the whole structure appears to change colour. Java's dramatic landscape is also ideal for some gentle walking, perhaps up the picturesque slopes of Mount Merapi or into the verdant Menoreh Hills. Here, you can explore a landscape dotted with clove plantations, rice fields and traditional villages.

Yogyakarta – Ubud

It’s time to fly to the tropical paradise of Bali. No sooner than you land, you’ll be heading up into the alluring hills to visit the island’s cultural hub of Ubud. It’s a lively, atmospheric little town that has earned its reputation as the epicentre of Balinese arts. Amandari is your home for the next two nights, and you’ll find it the perfect base from which to explore.

Ubud

Today you can choose between venturing from village to village amid picturesque tiered rice fields, rolling down the slopes by bike or strolling down them on foot, or simply soaking up the atmosphere in Ubud’s temples. This is a great way to learn something of the region’s unique historical background. At the end of the day, there’s nothing more inviting than to wind down with a traditional treatment at the beautifully located spa.

Ubud – Manggis

Avoiding the bustle of Bali’s popular southern beaches, you’re now whisked away for a four-night stay on the island’s perfectly unspoiled east coast. Your accommodation at Amankila is heavenly. The very name of the resort means peaceful hill, and it perches on a cliff high above the Lombok Strait, complete with a stretch of private beach featuring exotic black sands.

Manggis

Over the next three days you’re completely free to relax and enjoy the fabulous location. There are no less than three terraced pools, and the spa at Amankila offers traditional pampering treatments. At your leisure, you can explore the coastline and the surrounding rainforest, or descend to the beach and soak up the tropical sun from the comfort of a secluded bale.

Manggis - UK

If you can bear to tear yourself away from this island paradise, it’s time to board your flight back to the UK. Or you might prefer the option of extending your stay with a visit to Amanwana, an exclusive hideaway set amid a nature reserve on Moyo Island, just off Sumbawa's coast.
