About Solitaire Lodge
Solitaire Lodge is one of the most beautiful lakeside retreats in New Zealand. The lodge nestles on an elevated promontory that provides breathtaking views across Lake Tarawera. Enjoy the simple pleasures of the lake-swimming, sailing and fishing or visit the hot springs at nearby Rotorua.
The Lodge has completed an extensive refurbishment in which they refreshed the property's nine generous suites, reception area, guest lounges as well as the inviting entranceway, which is now framed by vintage timber beams previously used as bridge supports in the Mangaroa Valley. They have successfully brought the feeling of the outdoors in, so you can unwind and enjoy the peace and iconic lake vistas and lush volcanic landscape. Each comfortable suite features stylish soft furnishings, luxurious linen, bedding and amenities. With 100% New Zealand wool carpet underfoot, the feeling is to settle in, snuggle up, and relax. The newly expanded bathrooms, mean you can now literally 'soak up the view' with the Executive Suites and the Villa Suite equipped with wonderful, deep, freestanding bathtubs overlooking the lake.
