Head out early by private coach to the operations centre where you will enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast on arrival. Now it’s time to change into rafting gear before heading to a private dock on the banks of the enchanting Pacuare river. Before you go in the water you will have your equipment checked and fitted, and you will be given a full safety talk. Then you can take your raft out onto the river and begin your route which takes you 30 kilometres into Costa Rica’s expansive rainforest.
This section of the river is sure to amaze you. You will drift past awe-inspiring gorges and cascading waterfalls. There is also a chance to relax in one of the tranquil pools along the way before you come to the pounding rapids and your adrenaline really gets pumping.
On disembarking, you will pass through Braulio Carrillo National Park, before arriving at the operations centre. Here you will have the option of lunch ahead of transferring back to your accommodation.
