Highlights

Classic Croatia

Our Croatia itinerary introduces you to the jewels of this long and rugged Adriatic coast. You’ll discover the exquisite Diocletian’s Palace in the heart of Split, Croatia’s second city. Move along to the chic island of Hvar where its lively nightlife is more than matched by its natural beauty and historic palaces. Finally you’ll reach Dubrovnik, the brightest jewel of them all. Within the old town’s dramatic medieval walls, shiny marble streets are filled with Baroque architecture and inviting cafés.

UK - Split

A member of our team will meet you when you arrive at Split and drive you along the coastline to your hotel, Le Meridien Lav.

Split

Enjoy a morning tour of the old town with our guide, starting with the Palace of the Emperor Diocletian in the centre of Split. See Peristil Square where the Emperor made his speeches. A wander along the palm-shaded Riva waterfront promenade is a relaxing way to end the tour. The next day is yours to spend as you please. We recommend a well-deserved spa treatment before heading to the beach.

Split - Hvar

This morning you'll catch the ferry that cruises along the Dalmatian coastline to the island of Hvar. The longest and sunniest of all the Croatian islands and home to three towns, Hvar is fast becoming the one of the most fashionable of the Mediterranean’s resorts. It’s a must-stop destination for the European glitterati on board their motor yachts during the summer months.

Hvar

With its wild flowers and fields of lavender and rosemary, Hvar is a nature-lover's paradise. Hvar Town is in a picturesque natural setting facing the south, the sun and the sea. Its combination of Renaissance palaces, ancient monasteries and an elegant marina makes it one of the chicest resort on the Adriatic. On a walking tour you'll visit the 17th-century theatre and 15th-century palaces.

Hvar - Dubrovnik

Leaving the island of Hvar by ferry, you'll head south towards Dubrovnik. Your home for the next three nights is the Hotel Excelsior in a handy location just a short stroll away from the old town. The hotel is also a stone’s throw from Banje Beach, the old town’s main beach.

Dubrovnik

After a short walk to the gates of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, you’ll reach the city walls. More than a mile in length, they are a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Stroll along the Stradun, the marbled main thoroughfare that’s bookended by a Franciscan monastery and the Rector's Palace. The following day is yours to explore at your own pace. Head to the beach or to the nearby island of Lokrum.

Dubrovnik - UK

Today you'll head to Dubrovnik airport for your onward flight back to the UK. You might of course be tempted to extend your Croatia itinerary a few days with a cruise on one of our private charter yachts. Alternatively you could add on a trip to Montenegro.
