    UK - Bordeaux - Martillac

    On arrival in Bordeaux you'll be met by a member of our team and driven to Les Sources de Caudalie, your home for the next four nights. This elegant hotel is set among the vineyards of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, a short distance south of Bordeaux. Its rooms, suites and stilted cabins are individually designed, most with a balcony or terrace overlooking the vineyards or serene lake.

    Martillac - Bordeaux

    Take a guided tour of Bordeaux this morning. Start at quayside Place de la Bourse before exploring Saint Andre Cathedral and Palais Rohan. Wander along the river through the old town and up to Place du Parlement and the Grand Theatre. In the afternoon, we recommend a wine-inspired treatment at the Vinotherapy Spa.

    Martillac - St Emilion

    The stone houses of the fortified medieval town of St Emilion tumble down the southern slopes of a vine-blanketed hill overlooking the Dordogne River. It’s just a short drive east of Bordeaux. Discover the story of that eponymous saint, an 8th-century Benedictine hermit whose followers started commercial wine production in the area. After time for lunch, it's time to sample St Emilion's legacy, with wine tastings at nearby vineyards.

    Spend a full day exploring the Medoc wine region north of Bordeaux with your knowledgeable guide.
