UK - Athens

When you arrive at Athens Airport, you will be met by a member of our team and driven to the Electra Palace, your home for the next four nights. Ideally located in Plaka in the heart of Athens' old town, the Electra Palace is a short walk from the Acropolis and other important sights of the city.

Acropolis

Your Athenian adventure begins today with a half-day tour introducing you to the Acropolis. The highlight is undoubtedly the Parthenon, one of the most important ancient monuments in the western world. At the foot of the hill is the Acropolis Museum, which exhibits more than 4,000 artifacts. Head to the top floor for unmissable views of the Parthenon itself. Afterwards, there’s time to stroll through Plaka’s ancient streets.

Benaki Museum

After a leisurely breakfast your guide will take you to the Benaki Museum, an eclectic display of Greek and Oriental art. You'll drive past the Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of white marble. On your way back to the centre, you may be able to see the Changing of the Guard in Constitution Square. This afternoon you'll have free time to enjoy Athens by yourself.

Varvakios Agora

Today is free to explore at your own pace. You may wish to navigate your way through the bustling alleyways of Varvakios Agora, the picturesque fish, meat and vegetable market that’s the true belly of Athens. After working up an appetite, finish with a stop at a taverna to savour authentic Greek souvlaki.

Athens - UK

Today you'll be driven to the airport for your flight back to the UK. Alternatively, extend your stay with a tour of some of Greece’s islands.
