Dazzling gems of hidden Norway

Join us for an exceptional experience exploring the land of fjords from Oslo to Bergen. Stay in magnificent hotels favoured by royalty and writers.

Row across crystal-clear waters as you get to grips with your own private Viking ship and enjoy escorted treks high into the mountains. Relax to the music from a private choir who will perform just for you.

Venture far off the beaten track into the heart of the birch forests where you will travel by ‘troll’ car and historic trains. Our expert guides will help you climb a glacier, row down rapids, and take you sky-high in a helicopter to view the scale and spectacle of the breathtaking fjords.

Experience this country’s answer to the Grand Canyon with a hike up to up to Aurland Valley. Visit the village of Flåm with its cascading waterfalls and round off your trip with an epic view of the seven magnificent fjords that surround Bergen.

Oslo, Ålesund, Valldal

Arrive in Ålesund where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Valldal .  From here, you will head deep into the birch forests to the hidden gem of Juvet Landscape Resort which is discreetly tucked between a river and mountains. A private jet is on standby for those who would like an air transfer. You can also extend your stay in Oslo. Norway’s cool capital is creating a buzz with its exciting design, culture, and food scene.

Ease into the day with a visit to the bath house which has incredible views through its glass wall. After breakfast, you can take an exhilarating 11-kilometre rafting trip down the fast-flowing Valldøla River. After a lunch of Rekesmørbrød: an open-faced shrimp sandwich, your personal guide will take you on a trek deep into the Norwegian farmland dotted with viewpoints. Along the way hear fables and enjoy a glimpse of local life. Round off the day standing on Ruggå, a larger boulder from the last Ice Age that stands on top of the hill between Fjørå and Valldal.

Join your private driver and hop aboard the ferry to Eidsdal. Travel along the breathtaking zig-zag road of Trollstigen to Dalsnibba where you can enjoy the spectacular views over Geiranger fjord. On arrival in the village enjoy a cruise through the fjord (one of the narrowest in the world), passing the Seven Sister’s waterfall. After a short drive arrive in Hellesylt and the Hotel Union Øye, a magnificent property on the shore of the Hjørundfjord. The rooms are named after notables who have stayed here from royalty to authors like Karen Blixen and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Start the day with a personalised guided kayaking trip exploring the crystal clear glacial waters of the beautiful Geiranger fjord. The private tour can be adjusted to any level of experience. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this magical place. After a coffee break, a helicopter will be waiting to take you on a one-hour flight where you will get a bird’s-eye of this extraordinary fjord. Return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. Before dinner join a private wine tasting session.

Today, head inland via Stryn and Loenfjord towards Oldedalen. You will stop near Briksdal Glacier and ride towards it by a fun electric troll car (that has replaced the traditional horse and carriages). After disembarking you can walk up to the awesome glacier that is located in Jostedal Glacier National Park. Continue on your journey towards the elegant homestead of Åmot Gaard surrounded by luscious pastures and towering peaks. Take your seat for a private recital from a local choir who will be performing their exquisite genre of music just for you.

Today take the time to explore the area around Åmot Gaard as it is surrounded by pastures and peaks. The family-run hotel is situated at the end of the stunning Sunnfjord. Visit a local farm and learn more about Nordic life. After lunch you will get the rare opportunity to take to the oars of an authentic Viking ship. You will have the chance to row through the glacial waters of this deep-blue fjord and capture this incredible moment to share with family and friends.

The day starts with a drive to Balestrand Bay which is facing the astonishing Sognefjord, the longest fjord in Norway. Set sail on board a luxury yacht which will take you through the silent waters of this epic fjord. The voyage will take you to the village of Flåm which offers views of cascading waterfalls. From here you will board the mountain train, Flåmsbana, one of the most famous train rides in Europe, which will take you up to Myrdal known as the ‘rooftop’ of Norway.

Wake up in your peaceful boutique hotel nestled on the lush, floor of the Aurlandsdalen valley. Today you have an active day, starting with a manageable hike up to Aurland Valley, known as Norway’s Grand Canyon. This is one of Norway's most picturesque spots. The whole region feels like a living museum, so prepare yourself for dramatic landscapes, fjordside villages and hidden highlights. It will be a day filled with instagrammable moments.

Today, you will drive to Bergen, located on the west coast. On arrival you will meet your local guide who will take you on a tour of the city. The sights you will see include the fish market, Bryggen Wharf famous for their historical houses, the City Wall Gate, the Nykirken Church and the Bergenhus Fortress. This afternoon head to Fløibanen for a trip on the funicular railway. During the ride you can see the seven magnificent fjords that surround the city. Finish off the day with a visit to the beautiful Stave Church at Fantoft.

Finish your odyssey of Norway with a guided hike through Folgefonna National Park. Scale Juklavass Glacier that consists of both calm, flat ice and more challenging crevasse areas, so the tour will be adapted to your wishes. Tuck into lunch while enjoying views across the Norwegian Sea and Rosendal alps. Your guide will keep you informed about the culture and geography during the trip. Return to Bergen in the soft afternoon light for dinner at your hotel.
