Highlights

Norway: cities and fjords

When it comes to holidays in Norway, our favourite is a combined tour of Oslo and the majestic Fjords. Journey on the famous Fløibanen funicular for stunning views of Bergen from Mount Fløyen. Be sure to visit Bergen’s famous Fish Market at the heart of the city. Depart on an authentic fjord ferry to Flam, passing picturesque villages and spectacular scenery all the way. You’ll then catch the steepest train line in the world, the Flam Railway. The journey showcases some of Norway’s greatest wildlife and landscapes. Upon arrival in Oslo, head to National Opera or just enjoy an exquisite Oslofjord.

UK - Bergen

Fly from the UK to Bergen airport. One of our local team will meet you and take you to your hotel in the heart of the city. After dropping off your bags, you can get your bearings with a trip on the famous Fløibanen funicular. This will take you up verdant Mount Fløyen where you’ll have stunning views of Bergen. Dinner tonight will be at Cornelius Sjømats Restaurant, a very unique setting with inspirational food.

Bergen

After a delectable Norwegian breakfast, head out to explore the city. Bergen is home to a number of excellent heritage museums, including the Hanseatic Museum and the Bryggen Museum. These both explore aspects of Bergen’s mercantile past. Afterwards, try a traditional Scandinavian pastry or sample a little local liqueur.

Bergen - Oslo

Bid farewell to Bergen and make your way to Oslo. Transfer to Gudvangen, to enjoy a spectacular fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord. Afterwards board the famous Flåm Railway for the steepest train journey in the world. The views of lush mountainsides, crashing waterfalls and colourful heathers are spectacular before continuing by train to Oslo.

Oslo

Awake today in beautiful Oslo. Combining a rich heritage and effortless modern chic, this is a city like no other. Head to the Viking Ship Museum, indulge in some local cuisine, or enjoy a boat cruise through the stunning Oslofjord. You will also visit the Munch Musuem and Norsk Folkemuseum. Come evening, book tickets to the Oslo National Opera House. This is one of the most renowned in the world and many great performers have graced its stage.

Oslo - UK

After breakfast at your hotel, it’s sadly time to depart beautiful Norway for your short flight back to the UK.
