Located at just 20 km from Trivandrum, the Surya Samudra offers excellent accommodation, dining and recreational facilities. Many of the rooms are authentic Kerelan houses that have been transported from their original location. They have heavy wooden doors and window shutters and the interiors are finished in traditional style, with outdoor garden bathrooms. All rooms face the sea to get the full effect of the cooling breezes. Great care is taken to use local produce, the property has its own garden for fruit and vegetables and the seafood comes directly from the local fisherman on a daily basis.
