Perched on a hilltop overlooking Udaipur, Fateh Garh boasts splendid Rajasthani heritage. The hotel’s architecture was painstakingly crafted from stone and marble transported from abandoned palaces and other historic sites. The result is a complex of breezy courtyards, white pillars and sweeping verandas.
From its crenellations, soak up undisputed views of the fairytale-like Lake Pichola. Inside you will find intricate frescoes and regal feeling rooms with large windows to take in the countryside scenery.
Take a ride in a vintage car – the hotel collects a fleet of classics. You can zipline over the canopy and ride on horseback through the fields. Lie by the infinity pool, dramatically lit at night. The Sansha Spa boasts 232 sqm of massage rooms, exotic spa baths and an indoor swimming pool.
In the kitchen, the chef whips up local Mewari dishes. High tea is also a talking point serving butter cookies and homemade scones.
