About Jagat Niwas Palace
Rajasthan is a region of vibrant festivals, panoramic landscapes, customary traditions, exceptional cuisine, unique architecture and imperial history – and Udaipur is no exception. Come to the ‘City of Lakes’ to experience this exciting destination at its most picturesque. Jagat Niwas Palace is an early 17th-century haveli set on the banks of romantic Lake Pichola. It offers unsurpassed views of the lake, the Aravali hills as well as many of the region’s palaces and temples. Jagat Niwas Palace is a family-run property determined to highlight the legacy of its Rajasthani roots.
All the spacious rooms offer lake or palace views, traditional designs and period furniture. As well as mod cons, all rooms also boast intricately decorated frescoes. Some even offer jhadokas (extended balconies with plush seating).
Chandni is a rooftop restaurant with sublime views, the perfect setting for your dining experience. Enjoy traditional Rajasthani recipes, as well as Chinese and continental. Listen to the sitar and tabla while the light breeze guides the irresistible aromas from table to table. You can also dine in the Jharoka restaurant and at the inhouse bakery. However, for a romantic experience, spend an evening dining out on the lake onboard Jagat Niwas’ pontoon boat.
