Highlights

Highlights of Jerusalem

Our tailor made Jerusalem tour is specially designed to show you the highlights of this holy city. Jerusalem has been at the cultural crossroads of east and west for millennia. Your tour of Jerusalem takes in all the city’s most famous landmarks, such as the Dome of the Rock, the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Christ is believed to have been buried. We’ll also take you on exciting trips to see the wealth of history that lies just beyond Jerusalem. You’ll visit Bethlehem to see the place where Jesus was born and the clifftop fortress of Masada where the Zealots held out against a Roman siege for three long years.

UK - Jerusalem

We’ll meet you in the arrivals hall of Tel Aviv and drive you to your hotel in Jerusalem. You will be staying at the American Colony Hotel,  a hotel that retains considerable period charm and character.

Jerusalem - Old City

Your private guide will take you to the sweeping views of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Walk down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane’s ancient olive trees and the Church of All Nations. You’ll get a feel for Jerusalem’s Old City today, walking with your guide through the Four Quarters. Visit the jewel in Jerusalem’s crown, the Dome of the Rock, and the Western (Wailing) Wall. Then stroll along the Way of the Cross, past picturesque market stalls, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, said to be the burial chamber of Christ.

Masada - Qumran Caves - Bethlehem

Skirt the Dead Sea to reach Masada where a cable-car whisks you up the sandstone mountain. Here, some 2,000 years ago, Roman legions besieged the Jewish Zealots in a fortress. They held out for three years, before taking their own lives to avoid capture. Many of their fortifications still stand. Afterwards, stop at Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found by a young Bedouin shepherd in 1947. On route back to Jerusalem, so at Bethlehem.  The short trip to Bethlehem allows you to enter the Church of the Nativity to witness the birthplace of Jesus.

New City of Jerusalem – UK

Begin with a visit to Yad Vashem, here you visit the museum, the Children’s Pavilion and walk along the Street of Righteous. At the Israel Museum you can see the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls . Afterwards drive to the airport for your flight home.
