This enlightening full-day tour allows you to do more than scratch the surface of Jordan. The wide variety of experiences includes a conservation-focused tour of the Jordan Valley. You will witness the benefits that A&K Philanthropy is bringing to local communities. Another highlight is the chance to cook like a local with a guided class in Jordanian cuisine which takes place at a Bedouin farm.
Begin by the shores of the Dead Sea to observe the sink holes which have begun to emerge here. Learn about the efforts made to preserve the natural environment. Take a tea break at a Jordan Bike Enterprise, a fantastic AKP project designed to combat rural unemployment. After a brief orientation, cycle to some of the valley’s other natural sights.
Uncover the secrets of Jordanian agriculture and lifestyles as you meet a local community at Umm Bakr, before a short workshop focused on environmental conservation. Next, help to prepare a traditional lunch and, after a dip in the Dead Sea and some time to watch the sunset from the beach, your dinner is served. Return to your Amman hotel for the evening.
