Meknes and Volublis
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Volubilis is the largest and most well-preserved Roman ruin in Morocco. Head to Meknes, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco to views its impressive city walls.
Fes
Step back in time at Fez El Bali, the largest living medieval medina-city with 9,000 labyrinth-like lanes, alleys, and souks. Discover the Attarine Medersa, Nejjarine Square and the Fondouq (Caravanserai) - now a museum of carpentry artefacts. Visit the tanneries, Dar Batha and the Museum of Moroccan Arts before experiencing Fes El Jedid (New Fes) and its Royal Palace, mosques, and medersas. Finish the day with a pottery factory to see how zellij tiles are made.
Fes
Return to the Middle Ages with one of the most imperial, timeless and untouched cities in the world, Fes El Bali (Old Fes) – the cultural heart of Morocco. Renowned also as a culinary sensation, the promenade in the souks highlights many specialities from fresh vegetable and fruits to diverse herbs, intriguing spices, fresh honey, dried beef (khlea), and traditional bread that has been cooked the same way for thousands of years.
Fes - Tangier
Take the journey to Tangier, a gorgeous city that dominates the north of Morocco widely known as the gateway to Europe. Appealing and cosmopolitan, with mixtures of Moroccan, African and European influences, it is a melting pot of cultures. Henri Matisse named it a "Painter's Paradise" and several foreign artists such as Paul Bowles, Truman Capote and William Burroughs fell in love with the city and chose it as their home.
Asilah
Begin at Perdicaris Park: a beautiful green haven between the sea and mountains. Next, head to Cape Spartel which rises to 326 metres above sea level. Near Cape Spartel is Spartel Bank, where some say the legendary underwater city of Atlantis is found. End with a guided tour of Asilah, a Portuguese coastal town built in the 15th and 16th century.
Chefchaouen
This morning you will visit Chefchaouen, just a few hours away from Tangier. The streets and buildings in the old part of town are painted brilliant sky blue, and the rugged, majestic mountains can be seen at the end of every cobbled street. Crisp mountain air adds a magical touch to this place, and the main square in the medina is lined with cafes filled to the brim with locals and tourists that mingle effortlessly
Tangier
Start at the entrance to the Kasbah of Tangier where you enjoy a guided walk through the medina to the Tangier American Legation Museum that traces the history of the relationship between the United States and Morocco. Displays include the likes of a letter from George Washington to Moulay Abdellah. From here you continue through the beautiful medina while facts about the history, architecture and everyday life are explained by your knowledgeable guide.
