    UK -Muscat

    Your journey begins with a flight to Muscat on the easternmost tip of the Arabian Peninsula. Once the centre of the ancient frankincense trade, Oman offers a unique travel experience where modern life meets deep rooted traditions. Upon arrival you’ll be met by a member of our team who will drive you to your hotel, the Kempinski Muscat.

    Muscat offers a unique opportunity to witness a modern commercial centre that’s totally in harmony with its traditional culture. You'll explore this enchanting port city as you see the magnificent splendour of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum, showcasing an incredible display of Omani antiques. Drive along the waterfront Corniche and visit the bustling Muttrah Souq before enjoying some free time in the afternoon.

    Muscat - Jabal Shams Mountains

    Head into the mountains, visiting Jabrin, the finest of Omani castles. You'll enter Oman's Grand Canyon and stop at the terrace farming village of Wadi Ghul. Drive to the abandoned village of Wadi Nakher before arriving at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort.

    Jabal Shams Mountains - Nizwa - Sharqiya Sands

    Today you'll drive through the rugged interior to the village of Nizwa and explore its historic fort. See the old crafts being hand-fashioned in the souq workshops amid old antiques and handicrafts. If there on a Friday you’ll witness the evocative spectacle of the local livestock market - a must. A pocket of red dunes awaits you in the Sharqiya Sands, made famous by the exploits of the late Wilfred Thesiger. Travelling off-road deep inside the sands, you'll reach your stop for the night, the 1000 Nights Camp.

    Sharqiya Sands - Sur - Muscat

    After some morning desert activities, you'll continue to Sur’s fish jetty and dhow factory. Stop at Fins Beach for a swim, before continuing on to the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater filled with blue green water. On clear sunny days you might see pods of dolphin in the deep blue coastal waters. Your final stop will be Wadi Arbayeen with its refreshing deep pools set among the date palms.

    Today you'll be driven to the airport ready to depart on your international flight home or extend your journey to further explore Oman.
