Highlights

Winter in Whistler

Join us on this exciting tour of magical Whistler in winter that promises to be an experience like no other. Savour enchanting views of snow drifts and craggy mountain peaks during an exciting range of activities. Hit the slopes directly from your accommodation to access a network of over 200 trails, head up to the treetops for a canopy walk and even try your hand at leading a dog-sledge team.

Discover magical mountains

Arrive at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, located at the base of British Columbia’s mighty Blackcomb Mountain. Unwind in spacious accommodation against a backdrop of incredible mountain or village views. This snowy landscape creates the perfect tranquil atmosphere and provides the ideal setting for an exciting range of activities. Enjoy ski-in ski-out facilities leading to over 200 trails across two mountains. After a long day on the slopes, return to dinner in one of six restaurants or enjoy traditional après-ski snacks including hot chocolate and cheese fondue.

A cultural and historical adventure

Today, board a dog sledge for a journey into the snowy wilderness of Callaghan Valley. Explore the old-growth forests and stop at a trapper’s cabin on Totem Pole Lake. Here, warm up over snacks and drinks as you learn about the history of Canadian fur trappers. Afterwards assist your musher to harness and stage the dogs, learn important commands and drive your own team. Savour the scenery as you race through the valley’s mix of open and winding trails. Seize opportunities for spotting rare wildlife and capturing unforgettable photos.

Treetop canopies and hiking ancient landscapes

Round off an amazing trip with an adventure up in the treetops. The TreeTrek Canopy Walk offers a unique opportunity to see the forest from above using a network of suspended bridges and stairways, boardwalks and trails. Later, embark on a snowshoe hike along The Medicine Trail, an old trapper’s path. Discover the healing plants found in this ancient forest and sample rejuvenating herbal teas. Admire the shady canopies created by enormous cedar, fir and hemlock trees.  Afterwards, reflect on an unforgettable experience as you enjoy fireside snacks at the caboose.

Enjoy the morning at leisure

Before you depart, why not hit the slopes one last time? Alternatively, head into Whistler using one of the hotel’s complimentary shuttle buses to explore the myriad sights this beautiful town has to offer. Ice skate at Whistler Olympic Plaza during winter months, experience a bobsleigh ride at the Whistler Sliding Centre or embark on a culinary adventure in Whistler Village. Afterwards return to your accommodation to collect your luggage and prepare for your transfer home.
