Explore the wonders of Denali National Park from a luxury Alaskan-style cabin at Tonglen Lake Lodge. From this solitude, you can enjoy the splendour of the wilderness and magic of the northern lights.
This retreat, created by Alaskan artist and owner Donna Gates, is tucked among the great Alaska Range where you can breathe in the clean mountain and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Established in 1917, the park is home to and named after North America’s highest mountain. Among its taiga forests, tundra and glaciers lives a bounty of wildlife, including caribou, wolves, bears, moose and Dall sheep.
of the warm and welcoming cabins nestle in the woods and features handcrafted log furniture made by local artists. The rooms includes a king-sized bed, cast iron hearth, shower, underfloor heating in the bathroom and a futon that can be converted into a queen-sized bed.
You can also stay within the cosy wings of the guest house which has two living rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs (shared between the north and south suite). Larger parties can book both wings - perfect for multigenerational groups.
Enjoy hearty meals overlooking Tonglen Lake from the lodge’s Artisan Café which serves hot breakfasts, afternoon tea and cocktail hour before a rotating dinner option.
During your time at Tonglen Lake Lodge, you can enjoy outdoor concerts, guest lectures and workshops at the Theatre. The stage is also a perfect outdoor space for yoga under the midnight sun.
