Explore some of the most beautiful sea caves in the world when you kayak along the Santa Barbara waterfront. As you paddle in and out of these natural wonders at Scorpion Anchorage, your expert guide will give you an insight into the marine life that lives here.
Your adventure begins with a ferry ride over to Santa Cruz Island. Keep an eye open for migrating whales and pods of dolphin which are often seen from the boat. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your fellow kayakers and experienced tour guide who will kit you out with wetsuits, paddle jackets, and helmets. A paddling demonstration and safety briefing will be held before you set off.
Once on the water, you’ll glide along a glorious three-mile stretch of Californian coastline surrounded by kelp forests and rugged cliffs. Paddle in and out of the breath-taking sea caves while learning more about the volcanic history from your guide. Abundant marine life and sea birds offer great opportunities for wildlife viewing during the day. You will get the chance to snorkel among the kelp beds before leaving the island and returning to the mainland by ferry.
