Hawaii Family Style

This 11-day Hawaii family vacation covers four islands. On Oahu, visit the historic Pearl Harbor, the white-sand beaches of Waikiki and learn to surf on the North Shore. After a short flight to the Big Island, you’ll zip-line over an extinct volcano, snorkel with manta rays and take a helicopter ride over Kilauea, the world’s most active volcano. Then it’s on to Maui to cycle down Haleakala at sunrise, witness tropical waterfalls along the scenic road to Hana, and sea kayak with humpback whales and sea turtles. Finish your Hawaiian adventure with a day on Lanai.

UK - Oahu

On arrival in Oahu, Hawaii’s third largest island, you’ll collect a hire car and drive to your hotel, the swish Four Seasons Resort at Ko Olina. The rest of the day is spent relaxing at the hotel or exploring the island yourself.

Oahu

For the next two days, the island is all yours. Visit the surf Mecca of North Shore, where we’ve arranged surfing or stand up paddle boarding lessons at one of the island’s top beaches. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the historic Pearl Harbour and the USS Arizona Memorial, which is constructed over the sunken wreck. The following day, there’s a half-day city tour of Honolulu, including a visit to the vibrant beach resort of Waikiki.

Big Island

This morning, take the short flight to the Big Island. Throw yourself straight into the action and zip-line over Kohala, an extinct volcano. We’ve also arranged a quad-biking trip across the island’s 60-metre-high sea cliffs, and a night snorkel with manta rays. A real highlight of the holiday is a helicopter ride over Kilauea, which has been continuously erupting since 1983. As you soar over the island, you’ll also see lava flows, black-sand beaches and beautiful waterfalls.

Maui

It's time to say farewell to the Big Island and aloha to Maui. On arrival, pick up your hire car and drive to Kapalua Bay and the comfortable Montage Kapalua Bay, your home for the next four nights. The island is famous for its natural beauty spots, dormant volcanoes and palm-fringed beaches. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.

Maui

This morning, the adventure starts with a scenic drive on the road to Hana. Regarded as one of the spectacular drives in the world, this 64-mile stretch takes in tropical waterfalls, lush rainforest and secluded beaches. Don’t miss the Ke'anae Peninsula, the Hanawi waterfall and the black-sand beach at Wai'anapanapa. A cocktail or two on the beach as the sun sets is a great way to end the day.

Maui

Today, you’ll see Maui from the water on a kayaking adventure. Pick the right season (November to May) and you could get up close and personal to migrating humpback whales. On this relaxed paddle offshore, you can also snorkel with sea turtles. In the evening, enjoy fine dining on a sunset cruise and finish the night under a blanket of stars as you relax on the top deck.

Lanai - Maui

Today you can tick off another island on your Hawaii family vacation. It’s an hour-long ferry ride over Lanai, known locally as Pineapple Island. Spend a few hours relaxing on its quiet beaches, or visit the Garden of the Gods, Lanai City and Kaumalapau Harbor. After a day of exploring, take the ferry back to Maui, keeping your eyes peeled for humpback whale and dolphin along the way.

Maui - UK

It’s time to say farewell to Maui as your exciting Hawaiian adventure comes to an end. Head to the airport to drop off your hire car, leaving plenty of time to catch your onward flight for the journey home.
