Highlights

Remote Chile

Unwind amongst towering volcanoes on this Chile fjords trip and explore the picturesque villages and leafy forests of Chile's Lake District. Set off to the mysterious island of Chiloe, where you’ll spend a day listening to the tales of story-laden locals before dining on fresh oysters. Hit up not one but two capital cities, letting the charm of Santiago and Buenos Aires seduce you. A spectacular three-day Chile lakes cruise channels your inner explorer and takes you to the icy waters of the 'uttermost ends of the earth'.

UK - Santiago

Make the most of your South American adventure by flying over night to Santiago, Chile's Andes-hugging capital. We’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

Santiago

Santiago offers a mix of European cultures, laid-back Andean vibes and mesmerising mountain views. Its trendy neighbourhoods beg to be explored on foot. Wander the wide boulevards, gaze up at the imposing architecture and get lost in some of the best museums and galleries South America has to offer.

Santiago

Explore more of this cosmopolitan hub, including the delightful Barrio Concha y Toro neighbourhood, with its historic plaza and colonial architecture. Chile's rich cultural heritage comes to life through her iconic symbols. Sip your morning coffee with our local guide who will explain the history of Santiago including the story behind Palacio de La Moneda, known for the military coup in 1973 that brought Pinochet to power.

Puerto Montt

Today starts with a short flight to Puerto Montt, a port in the south of the Lake District. Here forest-filled National Parks drape across the land and clear lakes reflect the snow-capped volcanoes. Soak up the lakeside atmosphere, chat to locals and learn about handicrafts at the fish market. On to Puerto Varas to enjoy lake views of the famous Osorno volcano. Read about the myths of the Mapuchi Indians, a huge part of the region's culture.

Chiloe

Isla Grande de Chiloe really does feel like the Southernmost tip of the world. It is a magical wonderland where beliefs in ancient superstitions still linger. The rolling landscape is circled by the Pacific and dotted with pretty colourful fishing villages and wonderful stilt houses. Chat to the islanders on your day trip to learn about their traditions and mysterious tales, before you feast on fresh oysters.

Puerto Varas

The Lake District is famed for its leafy forests, glittering waterfalls and picturesque towns. Here iconic Andes peaks wink down from crystal skies. The pretty alpine-style town of Puerto Varas is a great base to explore the surrounding area. Stroll round the lakes, hike a volcano, visit the monkey puzzle forests, or sail across marvellous Lake Llanquihueon.

Puerto Montt – Patagonia National Park

In a rarely visited region of Patagonia with magnificent peaks, Chile’s fastest-flowing rivers and lakes of all colours and shapes, adventure is an unlimited prospect. All activity levels are covered, from self-guided strolls and bike trails to full-scale mountain ascents, with a spa and three hot tubs awaiting your return after a thorough day exploring.

Patagonia National Park – Wine Country

Swap one spectacular destination for another. We’ll take the pain out of leaving the Atacama by taking you to the gloriously green Casablanca Valley, Chile’s verdurous wine country. The Mediterranean climate conjures up the perfect terroir for the crisp white wine it produces. The balmy weather is also perfect for tasting the crisp, zesty wines. Enjoy the intimate wine lodge and laze by the pool after a personal wine tasting session, or explore the estate on foot or horseback.
