Highlights

Discover the Greens of the Emerald Isle

The only fairway to discover Ireland’s golf courses. From Powerscourt Estate to Lahinch Course, tee off with your companions for a delightful round or two as part of your holiday. This itinerary is tailor-made to suit you, so if you think it’s too short, that’s fine – why not combine this with a Scottish Whisky and Golf tour, for the ultimate golfing experience, playing at some of the most renowned locations and sampling the various whiskeys and whiskys.

Arrive Newmarket-on-Fergus

Upon arrival in Ireland, you will be taken to Dromoland Castle, an estate set in the beautiful County Clare countryside. Lunch and afternoon activities are yours to enjoy in your downtime. Why not take a relaxing stroll in the gardens followed by afternoon tea on the outdoor terrace?

Newmarket-on-Fergus

After breakfast, head out on to the 18-hole golf course set in beautiful parkland, where your tee time has already been confirmed for you. Redesigned by the renowned Irish golf architect Ron Kirby and golfing legend J.B. Carr in 2003, the course boasts numerous challenging natural features and hazards. Break for lunch at your leisure.

Lahinch Golf Course – Bunratty

Today you are faced with an 18-hole championship course dating back to 1892, which is set amongst the sand hills and offers breath-taking views out to the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy lunch at The Club – which has been arranged for you – a perfect opportunity to describe your morning's best strokes to your companions.

Kilbeggan – Dublin

Depart Dromoland Castle and make your way to Dublin, stopping en-route at Kilbeggan. This town is home to the Old Kilbeggan Distillery, the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, as well as Kilbeggan Races. Later, step out on a half-day walking tour of Dublin, stopping off to see some of the main sights including Ha'penny Bridge, Temple Bar and Trinity College.

Dublin

Time to head back out on the golf course, this time at Powerscourt Estate grounds. You are spoilt for choice with two courses available, all within walking distance of your accommodation. Tee times will have been arranged for you. Choose between the East Course or West Course, a woodland course and a panoramic parkland course, and enjoy lunch at your leisure.
