Top Tip
We were quite overwhelmed by the sumptuous Farouk Suite, a spacious, extravagantly appointed space with panoramic windows and replicas of Egyptian royal artefacts.

Why we like it

  • The first 'dahabiya' (sailing boat) built to international luxury standards
  • We love the Arabian-style sun deck with its refreshing dipping pool
  • Smallest boat in the fleet, the Zein can dock in more places than other boats
  • Exclusive private docking areas at Luxor and Aswan
  • All cabins and suites benefit from air-conditioning and expansive windows

About Sanctuary Zein Nile Chateau

The six-cabin haven on board the Sanctuary Zein Nile Chateau is one of the most luxurious boats sailing on the River Nile. The smallest of the Sanctuary fleet, its intimate size means it can dock at smaller ports - there's almost nowhere it cannot reach, so your fully-personalised touring itinerary can take you off the beaten track and away from the busy tourist spots. This is enhanced further thanks to private docks in Luxor and Aswan. Designed to offer a more private sailing experience, the boat marries modern elegance and old-world glamour, seen particularly in the Farouk and Napoleon Suites, which are decked out in vintage carpets, maps and photographs of old Egypt. The Farouk Suite also benefits from a Jacuzzi bath, and the four luxury cabins are equally sumptuous. The upper shaded sundecks are ideal for lazing around and soaking up the sun, and there's a refreshing pool to cool off in. Gourmet food, prepared on board by your own kitchen crew and included in the charter, is served in the light and airy dining room and you'll also find a cigar lounge and library on board. Your journey is accompanied by the services of one of our Egyptologists, who will illuminate your voyage with tales and facts of the river's incredible history. Laundry facilities and internet access are available at an extra charge, with the peace of mind of an on call doctor at your disposal an added benefit.
