Meet the guide
Pat Hochleutner was born in Durban, South Africa. She joined A&K as a guide, first leading tours in Gauteng Province, then – after achieving National Tourist Guide certification – all nine provinces of South Africa. She also guides groups in neighbouring Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. She always strives to look at an area through a client’s eyes, appreciating the beauty and diversity of each region anew. Pat has been working with A&K for more than 17 years, guiding private tours both large and small. Formerly a nurse, she brings that same care and consideration for people to the guiding profession.
When she’s not guiding, Pat enjoys camping, birding, ballet and gardening, as well as spending time with her family.
