Ultimate New Zealand

Get the ultimate New Zealand experience – perfect scenery, thrills and luxury. You’ll see the country’s most beautiful attractions and stay in its finest hotels. Sip ice cold champagne on a glacier or go by kayak to get up close to indigenous birds. Fish in serene lakes and out in the ocean, or to head off in search of soaring mountain peaks, sublime forests, deserted beaches and dramatic fjords. The scenery here is matched only by the adventure; take glacier treks, helicopter tours, go white-water rafting, and more. New Zealand is truly impressive, and our ultimate New Zealand tour is designed to impress.

UK - Auckland

The adventure begins with a comfortable flight to take you away to sunny and stylish Auckland. With the city’s spectacular sunsets and framing hillside, it’s certainly a welcoming sight.

An A&K representative will be waiting to meet you as you touch down. Drink in the warm atmosphere and passing sights of the City of Sails as you transfer to your hotel, the Skycity Grand Hotel.

On a half-day tour of Auckland, visit the vibrant waterfront before heading to the Victorian village of Parnell. Next, hike to the top of Mount Eden for unparalleled photograph opportunities over the sea, the city and the sweeping hills below. Alternatively, you can jump in a helicopter and take to the skies on a private tour of Waiheke Island, where you’ll find an exciting art community and a host of fine wines to taste.

Auckland - Bay of Islands

You can go by car or take a helicopter ride to the Bay of Islands, a picturesque costal destination where you can go sailing, big-game fishing, whale and dolphin watching, or else you head up the beaches in search of penguin. Your home for the next three nights will be The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, a dreamy five-star hotel overlooking Matauri Bay.

Bay of Islands

Take a helicopter to Omapere, where you’ll be met by your Footprints Waipoua guide, a local Maori who knows all the spiritual secrets of Waipoua Forest. Maori traditions are present in all aspects of Kiwi life, so there’s no-one better to take you through the world’s largest kauri forest. Continue north to the Cape Reinga region via the famous Ninety Mile Beach. After landing at Henderson Bay, enjoy lunch by the beach before an exhilarating guided quadbike tour.

Bay of Islands

Spend today at leisure, relaxing in your beautiful surroundings. Hike through the local hills for those all-important wildlife snaps or spend the day alternating between the pool and the spa. Head out for a round of golf on The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs par 72 championship course. Or why not explore the many attractions and activities around the beaches and throughout the local area.

Bay of Islands - Nelson

In a scenic spot between Nelson and the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park, you’ll find your destination for the next two nights. Eden House has 20 hectares of private grounds and internationally acclaimed gardens. Here, you can enjoy trout-fishing in the wild rivers and exploring the mountains, cerulean bays and glorious beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park at leisure.

Today, enjoy an outdoor adventurer’s paradise. Abel Tasman National Park is home to some of the country’s most inviting scenery. Keep your cameras at the ready for possum, wild pig and penguin as you wander through the woods. Your private six-hour tour will take you on a scenic cruise with swimming opportunities, a kayaking adventure, as well as a guided bush walk, including a visit to the untouched Tonga Island Marine Reserve.

Nelson - Marlborough

On arrival in Blenheim you'll be taken by boat to the Bay of Many Coves, a luxury hotel right on the water’s edge. Over the next two days here, you can enjoy a variety of activities, from kayaking, fishing and swimming with dolphin to eco cruising, bird watching and even a natural lightshow in the cave courtesy of the local glow worm population. Here, you’ll experience the wonders of New Zealand first hand.

Discover the reason behind the region’s reputation as the sauvignon blanc capital of the world on your private Marlborough tour. With over 100 wineries in the region, a host of primary food producers, cafés and restaurants, Marlborough really is a gourmet province. Visit icon wineries such as Cloudy Bay, Allan Scott, Hunters and Brancott, as well as boutique wineries like Auntsfield, Seresin, Saint Clair and Huia.

Make your way along one of the most scenic drives in the southern hemisphere – up the dramatic coastline of the South Island. Take your time to stop at the most alluring viewing points, to dip your feet at one of the many deserted beaches and sample the fresh produce from the local towns you pass. Your accommodation for the next two nights is the picturesque Hapuku Lodge, nestled among quaint deer farms and olive groves.

Hapuku Lodge is a welcoming environment with a rich history. Designed by a family of architects and builders, even the majority of the furniture is hand crafted. You can stay in one of the five luxury treehouses or choose one of the Lodge Suites which overlook the pool and have Japanese soaking tubs. While you’re here, enjoy the epitome of relaxation, always accompanied by the intense beauty of your surroundings.

It's time for a change of scene and tempo as you head to Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand. Explore the mountains and dramatic fjords, and enjoy adrenaline-pumping activities like jet ski safaris and white-water rafting. Your home for the last two nights of your trip is equally spectacular. Matakauri Lodge sits beside the tranquil Lake Wakatipu, offering incredible views the surrounding Remarkable, Cecil and Walter Peak mountain ranges.

Fly over the stunning Southern Alps and experience the grandeur of the world-famous Fiordland National Park. See the glacially carved river valleys, mountain lakes and tarns from above. Cruise to the mouth of the fjords, all the time keeping look out for seal basking on the rocks and dolphin in the water. Fly to Mitre Peak and Pembroke Glacier, then follow the fiord up the Harrison Valley and over Tutoko with a snow landing up on the Donne Glacier.

Queenstown – UK

Take in the final sights as you head to Queensland for your flight home, leaving these spectacular peaks and fjords behind. After so many experiences in this magnificent country, you’ll be brimming with memories to share with those at home.
