UK - Santiago

Make the most of your South American adventure by flying overnight to Santiago, Chile's charismatic capital. We’ll meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel.

Santiago

Santiago is a dizzying mix of European cultures, Andean vibes and mesmerising mountain views. Its trendy neighbourhoods beg to be explored on foot. Take a day to wander the wide boulevards, gaze up at the imposing architecture and get lost in some of the best museums and galleries South America has to offer. This is your day, take advantage of it at your own pace.

Santiago

Spend another morning exploring one of South America’s most attractive cities with a local guide. He’ll help you uncover some of the true gems of this arty and cosmopolitan hub: places like the delightful Barrio Concha y Toro neighbourhood, with its charming plaza and pretty colonial architecture. The heart and soul of Chile really shine through in the distinctive neighbourhoods of Santiago.

Santiago - Wine Country

The cool Pacific winds beckon you out of the city and into the Colchagua Wine Valley today. Flanked by the Andes and the Pacific Ocean, these breezes create a terroir perfectly suited to producing the full-bodied wines for which the area is famous. Hidden amongst the vineyards you’ll find the Museum of Colchagua. Discover a treasure trove of art, fossils and jewels from the Olmeca, Maya, Aztec and Inca cultures.

Wine Country

Tree-studded foothills, twinkling rivers and miles of vineyards are yours to explore here. Colchagua is an oasis of rural calm, with a slug of sophistication created by some extraordinary wineries. You’ll visit Lapostolle with its vast terraces of vines. Lunching here in the heart of the valley is a wonderful experience, but it’s not over yet. Go on to explore more vineyards and enjoy tasting lessons at other top-notch wineries.

Wine Country - Atacama

Embrace desert life as you fly away from the verdant valley to the moon-like Atacama Desert. Your hop off point is Calama, the gateway to the geological and archaeological wonders of the central desert. Experience charming San Pedro de Atacama, where you can channel your inner bohemian as you potter round it's pretty adobe-flanked streets. It has a laid-back, artistic vibe, encouraged by the heat and colourful indigenous culture.

Atacama

The surreal lunar landscape of the Atacama Desert, although a seemingly never-ending wilderness, holds a treasure trove of unexpected treats. Here you’ll find pink flamingos, steaming geysers, snow-capped volcanoes and unusual vegetation. You have two days to explore this unspoilt playground. Hit up the dunes on a 4WD adventure, ride horses or take a morning dip in a bubbling geyser. Spend the afternoons hiking the many volcanoes or rock formations. At night, the sparkling skies above make stargazing a highlight.

Atacama - Santiago

After you’ve learnt your Yellow Dwarf from your Blue Giant and seen the stars in cosmic detail, it's time to say goodbye to the desert and return to civilization. The delights of Santiago will seduce you for one last night. Explore the trendy Bellavista neighbourhood, now famous internationally for its plethora of hip bars and eateries. Here it's all about outside dining, lazy dinners and soaking up Santiago's unique atmosphere.

Santiago - UK

We won't let you miss that plane, even though we know you will want to. Today you’ll be delivered in style back to the airport for your flight home.
